About Mercy International
Mercy International was established in 2008 with a mission to help poor children in Bangladesh attend school. We do this by working with poor communities and churches to help establish and support schools. Schools in Bangladesh are small, inexpensive to build and can have a very positive impact on poor communities.
Schools not only support the education of children, but also provide them with access to better nutrition and health care. The typical school in Bangladesh serves 100 – 200 children and has 3-6 classrooms.
It is our plan to help build the first school in the coming year. Additional schools will be built as we identify opportunities. We will also support schools by helping them with expenses such as teacher’s salaries and purchases of books and school supplies.
